My Favorite Things

April 26, 2015 by Lindsey Boubel

My-Favorite-Things2

A collection of my favorite things that I’ve discovered around the web this week, and a weekly picture of George, because he is one of my ultimate favorite things.

Enjoy!

Recipes and How To’s

Every month The Vintage Mixer creates a beautiful seasonal produce graphic. The April Eat Seasonal Guide also has links to a bunch of recipes for each seasonal fruit and vegetable. No more excuses not to eat your veggies!

Do you like avocados? Do you like fried things? CHECK OUT THESE Avacado Fries from Joy the Baker. The combination sounds too good to be true.

Baked Potato Spring Rolls! From The Candid Appetite.

Chickpea Burgers for your inner vegetarian. Or, maybe you are a vegetarian. These look good enough for anyone to enjoy! From How Sweet Eats.

Cilantro Lime Chicken from The Mediterranean Dish

Cinnamon Roll Cheesecake from Taste of Lizzie T’s

Everybody has something to learn from these Expert Cookie Baking Tips at Food52

These amazing Colorblock Sugar Cookies from Love and Olive Oil. Gorgeous!

Baker’s Royale does it again with her Easy Lemon Cake. I love the frosting!

This really pretty Marble Cake from I am Baker.

Marshmallow Nutella Sandwich Cookies from Broma Bakery. When someone combines marshmallow and Nutella, I pay attention!

My mind is blown by these Mojito Marshmallows. I love marshmallows. I love mojitos. These are perfect!

Salted Caramel Pretzel Brownies from Butter Baking. Salty sweet delights!

This delicate and beautiful Victoria Sandwich Cake from Butter and Brioche. I love her style.

Not Recipes

This neat cookbook that only uses unprocessed sugars. It contains tips and tricks about how to branch out and use honey, coconut sugar, and other whole food sugars in baked goods. Real Sweet

This amazing photography lighting kit. I have been really struggling with finding the perfect time to photograph food the last couple of weeks, because I’m limited to natural light. We’ve had a lot of thunderstorms, and my work schedule isn’t always conducive to photographing at exactly 2:15 in the afternoon. Now I can take pictures whenever I want!

Tell me what inspires you?
