Just a few things that I’ve fallen in love with across the internet this week.
Recipes & How To’s
Butterscotch Pot de Creme from Bakers Royale. Her photos and creativity always blow me away.
Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes from Baking a Moment. Super cute cupcakes baked inside ice cream cones that you don’t have to be a kid to enjoy.
Coconut Baked French Toast from Foodie Crush. French toast is amazing, but this baked version looks like the same thing for less work!
Creme Brûlée Bars from Nicky’s Kitchen Sanctuary! I love creme brûlée, and she made them into a bar with a crispy crust! I’m inspired.
Cruffins! You’ve heard of Cronuts of course. They’re a hybrid donut and croissant. Cruffins are the near cousin; a hybrid between a muffin and a croissant. Best of all, there’s no chilling or folding or waiting involved. Lady and the Pups has figured out how to make them with a pasta roller. AMAZING
Guide to Making the Best Cinnamon Rolls because I think we could all use a few more cinnamon rolls in our lives. From Food52
Honey Cake with Mascarpone, Figs, and Pistachios from Cakes Crumbs and Beach Sand. Gorgeous!
How to Break down A Chicken from Tasting Table. A good skill to have!
Teriyaki Chicken from Pinch of Yum. Two reasons I’m dying to make this. No refined sugar, and I love mangos!
Peach Cookies from Lublyou. Cookies that look like real peaches. It’s amazing! This is a really neat blog by a Russian gal who lives in New York.
Pulled Chicken Burger from Nancy’s Cravings
Rhubarb Almond Cake from The Artful Desperado. It’s rhubarb season! I’ve never seen it used this way.
Strawberry Shortcake Macarons are so so so cute and delicious looking. From The Beach House Kitchen
Did you know that April is National Grilled Cheese month…just in case you needed an excuse to eat more grilled cheese. Check out this Grilled Ham and Cheese with Mustardy Rhubarb Jam from Rhubarbarians. Don’t you love her blog name?
Not Recipes
This super nerdy, ultra cute Basset Hound Cookie Cutter. Yes, I want to make cookies shaped like George, for George.
This book about the history of New Orleans. The Accidental City: Improvising New Orleans tells the whole story of who the unique city came to be. Taylor and I visited for the first time a couple of week ago, and I fell in love; First with beignets, then with the rest of the city. I need to know more about it.
Thanks! What is inspiring you lately?
